At Boxit4me Buy For Me, our team places the order on your behalf using our own card, our own US/UK/CN/EU billing address, and our own warehouse as the delivery destination, then forwards the parcel to you. We built this service because three checkout failures keep blocking our customers from finishing a purchase: foreign cards declined by Best Buy, Target, Sephora US, Apple regional, Adidas Confirmed and Nike SNKRS; address verification (AVS) mismatch on US-only retailers; and two-factor SMS sent to a US/UK number you don't have. When any of those break checkout, you send us the link, we close the loop.
A Buy For Me bill always has four cost layers: the original retailer price · the forwarder's service fee · a currency-conversion margin · the outbound shipping fee. Across the industry, only one player publishes a public flat rate; most ask you to log in or request a quote before showing a number:
Our approach at Boxit4me: every quote we send breaks the cost into item price · our service fee · FX margin · outbound shipping as separate line items, so you see exactly what you're paying before you fund. If a number on the quote isn't clear, ask us, we'll explain it line by line. Request a Buy For Me quote to see the full breakdown for your specific cart.
Use Boxit4me Buy For Me when: the merchant doesn't accept your card, blocks your country at checkout, requires a local address, or runs a region-locked drop. Stack it with consolidation and you're combining two services on one outbound shipment.
Skip it when: your card already works on the retailer and they ship internationally, in that case, just use our standard forwarding service with your free Boxit4me virtual address (US, UK, UAE, Germany, China, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Belgium, France or KSA) and self-purchase. You'll save the service fee.
Quick rule: if (item × 1.10) plus outbound shipping is less than a re-seller's markup or a retailer's premium international shipping, ask us to Buy For You. If your card works directly, save the fee and self-purchase.
Buy For Me is our assisted-purchase service. Our team places the order on your behalf using our own card, our own local billing address, and our own warehouse as the delivery destination, then forwards the parcel to you. We launched it to bridge merchants that decline foreign cards, fail address verification (AVS), or refuse to ship internationally. You pay us upfront; we pay the retailer; the goods are delivered to our warehouse, photographed and scanned into your dashboard, and shipped onward to your country.
Send us the product URL or a populated cart. We return a quote covering the retailer price, applicable US/UK sales tax (most US orders ship from our 0% sales tax facility, where applicable), our service fee, and the inbound shipping to our warehouse. You approve and pre-fund. Our staff complete the checkout. The goods arrive at our warehouse, get photo-inspected, and check into your account — at which point you can consolidate with other parcels for up to 30 days free storage and ship onward via UPS, FedEx, DHL or economy. Outbound shipping and destination customs duties are paid separately at that stage.
In four steps: (1) you sign up and get a personal warehouse address; (2) you shop online and use that address as the shipping destination; (3) the forwarder receives and (optionally) consolidates your packages; (4) you pay the international shipping leg and the forwarder hands the parcel to a courier (DHL, FedEx, UPS, Aramex) for delivery to your home country.
The total has four parts: item price, our service fee, currency-conversion margin, and outbound shipping. Industry service fees typically fall in the 5–15% band — the only major forwarder with a publicly listed flat rate is Buy&Ship at 6%. Aramex Global Shopper, Shop & Ship Buy For Me, and MyUS Personal Shopper do not publish a public percentage. Our quotes show every line as a separate item, including FX margin and outbound shipping (charged on actual or volumetric weight, whichever is higher — DHL Express divisor is 5,000). Request a quote on the cart you want and we'll send the full breakdown before you commit.
It's worth it when the alternative is abandoning the purchase, paying a re-seller's markup, or paying the retailer's premium international shipping. It's not worth it when your card already works at the merchant and the merchant ships to your country directly — in that case, register a free Boxit4me account, use the virtual address, and self-purchase. Quick test: if (item price × 1.10) plus outbound shipping beats your domestic re-seller or grey-market alternative, ask us to Buy For You.
It happens, retailers can reject after capture for stock, fraud check, account flag, or shipping restriction. Our policy is to refund the pre-funded amount to your original payment method as soon as the retailer's reversal clears. If you'd prefer the funds to stay in your Boxit4me wallet for an immediate retry on a different merchant, we can do that instead. Our buying staff also flag retailers with a high reject rate (some Apple regional storefronts, some Adidas Confirmed releases) before you fund, so you go in eyes open.
Returns are the hardest part of any Buy For Me service, ours included. Once we've paid the retailer, the contract is between them and us — not them and you. Some merchants accept return-to-sender with our warehouse as the originating address; others refuse outright. Before you approve a Buy For Me quote on apparel, shoes, or electronics with regional spec differences, ask us in writing about the merchant's return policy. We'll tell you what's possible and at whose cost — and we won't quietly accept the request and surprise you later.
Three legs: (1) quote turnaround — typically same business day from our team; (2) retailer processing plus inbound shipping to our warehouse — usually 2–7 business days for US domestic; (3) outbound international shipping — 3 days via DHL Express to the UAE, longer for economy or sea. Plan a realistic 7–21 day window for express courier paths. Limited-edition drops are the exception: our buying staff act in real time during the drop window, but inbound and outbound shipping still apply afterwards.
Most retailers, but not all. We maintain prohibited-merchant and prohibited-items lists in line with carrier rules and destination customs. Excluded examples: brands that explicitly forbid forwarding (a few luxury houses and certain sneaker exclusives), marketplaces with high fraud rates we won't underwrite, and merchants we've previously been banned from. On the product side: lithium batteries, flammable perfumes, CBD, prescription items, drones, and some electronics typically can't ship to UAE/MENA destinations. Send us the URL — we'll check both the retailer and the specific item against our policy and the destination's rules before quoting.
