How weight, dimensions and separate parcels affect the price
A compact, heavy component and a large, lightweight body panel can produce very different shipping charges. Request the packed weight and dimensions, rather than relying on the product’s dimensions.
For an illustrative calculation using a divisor of 5,000:
Volumetric weight = length × width × height in centimetres ÷ 5,000
A parcel measuring 42 × 32 × 24 cm has a volumetric weight of:
42 × 32 × 24 ÷ 5,000 = 6.4512 kg

Separate dispatches can also create several domestic delivery charges and several international parcels. Consolidation may help eligible orders, but compare the final packaging and total fees before choosing it. Protective packaging remains important for fragile or precision parts.
What information do you need to estimate the total cost?
Collect the product price, domestic delivery charge, parcel count, packed weights and dimensions, destination postcode, preferred service and any optional insurance or handling charges.
For import assessment, prepare an accurate product description, invoice, quantity, condition and country-of-origin information where available. Confirm the applicable classification and any product-specific requirements with the carrier or customs broker.

The SAR 170 allowance is an assumption, not a tax calculation. Replace every amount with an actual quote or applicable assessment. Add currency-conversion or payment fees if charged, and avoid counting import charges twice when they are already included in a quote.
How long will delivery take?
Plan for the complete journey: retailer processing, US domestic delivery, warehouse processing, international transport, customs clearance and final delivery.
When an order arrives in several parcels, waiting to combine them may extend the overall timeline. Check the selected service estimate after all required parcels are ready, particularly if the vehicle is waiting for repairs.
What if the wrong part arrives?
Before installation, compare the delivered part number and condition against the invoice and order confirmation. Photograph the item, labels and packaging if there is a mismatch or damage.
Contact the retailer promptly to confirm:
- Return eligibility and the deadline.
- Whether return authorisation is required.
- The correct return address for that specific item.
- Responsibility for shipping costs and any restocking fee.
- Whether installing or modifying the part affects return eligibility.
