How the Shipping Calculator Works

- Select the destination: Choose the country where you want the parcel delivered. Boxit4me ships to more than 200 countries and territories, including remote destinations.
- Enter the weight and dimensions: Add the package’s actual weight. If dimensions are available, also enter its length, width and height so the calculator can compare actual and dimensional weight.
- Compare shipping options: Review the available Economy and Express services for your route. The result will show the estimated shipping price before destination customs duties, VAT and other charges that may apply.

Actual Weight vs Dimensional Weight
International carriers calculate shipping using the package’s billable weight. This is usually whichever is higher:
- Actual weight: The physical weight shown when the parcel is placed on a scale.
- Dimensional weight: A calculated weight based on the amount of carrier space occupied by the package.
A lightweight product shipped in an oversized box can cost more than a compact package with the same actual weight. Carrier formulas and dimensional divisors can vary by service.
For example, a parcel may weigh 1 kg but have a dimensional weight of 3.2 kg. In that case, the shipping charge would be based on the higher weight and billed at the applicable 500-gram increment.

Example 1: Small parcel charged by actual weight
A parcel weighs 1.2 kg and has a lower dimensional weight. Because Boxit4me bills in 500-gram increments, the applicable shipping rate would be based on a billable weight of 1.5 kg.

Repacking the product into a smaller box may reduce its dimensional weight and final shipping cost.
Example 3: Consolidating several online orders
You receive three small orders from different retailers. Shipping each parcel separately may mean paying for repeated outer packaging and minimum billing increments.
